day 6: so much fun it’s excessive

day 2: afternoon
emma went to a play at the manhattan children’s theater. i took a pass. hot day, and i was thinking about the fundamental Emptiness, and i thought i needed whiskey. it was nearly 12 p.m.
“i’ll be right here when you get out.”
“bye, josh.”

day 2: morning
emma went for number 3.
waiting for the nominal subway.
emma refused to believe she was in an underground tunnel gussied up by disney imagineers to resemble an elevated railway:
“subways are always underground,” i say.
“then this isn’t a subway.”
